By messaging the FactCheck bot on Instagram (@check.this.for.me), WhatsApp, or Telegram, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with your data — it's incorporated into these terms by reference.
You send the bot content (a link, a shared reel/post, a forwarded message, a question) and it researches the claims in it and replies with a verdict — true, false, misleading, or unverifiable — together with the sources it used. For actionable content (visa/job/scheme posts), it tries to find and link the official source and flag any inconsistencies with what was shared.
We build this to be as accurate as possible — every verdict is meant to cite a source we actually checked — but the service uses third-party AI models and web research, both of which can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any response, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on it.
We enforce a daily limit on the number of checks per user to keep the service usable and affordable for everyone. We may block or rate-limit accounts that abuse the service.
You retain any rights you have in the content you send us. By sending it, you give us permission to process it (as described in the Privacy Policy) for the sole purpose of responding to you. We don't publish, repost, or reuse what you send.
This is currently a small, actively-developed service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue it, or these terms, at any time, with or without notice. We'll try to be reasonable about it, but we make no uptime guarantees.
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
